                   Junior Associate Lawyer

As a community-focused law firm, Bradley Law Professional Corporation touches many aspects of life for local residents. We help small businesses establish and grow, and we are involved when people sell or purchase a home. Our lawyers also assist families with changing current relationships (divorces and custody) as well as planned future arrangements (wills and estates.) Bradley Law has three offices in the region – Pembroke, Barry’s Bay, and Deep River. We work collaboratively to provide professional and trusted legal services across Renfrew County.

As our region grows, we are looking to add Junior Associate Lawyers to our firm. Specifically, we are looking to fill opportunities in family law and real estate law. These are full-time positions that will quickly develop significant caseloads. Most of our clients come to us with a range of legal needs, so we are open to lawyers who wish to focus their practice in other areas as well. We also welcome a discussion on remote opportunities.

 Responsibilities:

The Family Law Lawyer will be drafting, reviewing, and executing important documents such as separation agreements, domestic contracts, and court applications. You will also be expected to attend discoveries, mediations, and court proceedings. The Real Estate Lawyer will be drafting agreements of purchase and sale for residential and commercial transactions, preparing closing documents for transactions, and reviewing them with clients.

All members of our legal team are responsible for:

  • Handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality

  • Communicating respectfully and honestly with the office team and with clients

  • Being a reliable and professional lawyer

  • Carrying out work independently and asking for assistance when needed

  • Acting in the client’s best interests at all times

We have a very experienced support staff to assist our Junior Lawyers.

Qualifications:

LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized institution.

A member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

Ideally, we would like you to have two or more years of experience in family law or real estate law. However, if you are a recent graduate who is community-oriented and looking for an opportunity to grow in your career, we want to talk with you.
